That you Cheryl Ellis for your kind words.   Read the complete review here.

Many times in my life I have heard a variation of the message “He will come to you in mysterious ways.”  When I opened the package containing my next review, I was simply astounded.  ‘Recovering the Self,’ bounded into my life at a time of much turmoil and I eagerly consumed its valuable contents.

The premier edition of this informative journal is laden with handsomely arranged themes of recovery and healing.  From healing the inner child, surviving grief, forgiveness, and illness, all topics are of life’s realities and shared with the reader in a variation of styles.  Experienced, inspirational authors, as well as novices, write the compelling thoughts and/or experiences.

The editor, Ernest Dempsey sends his greetings and offers his view on the two main realities of life: pleasure and pain.  He believes in the nurturing aspects of writing and reading, now providing us with a ‘platform’ or ‘medium,’ for the promotion of wellness.

The journal ends with the publisher, having the last word, thanking all those that participated in this hopeful project.  He shares his concerns about having a print-based journal with our current, extensive technology.  I am one that agrees with him, I love the feel of a book in my hands.  Submission details are clear and simply laid out.

All articles selected for this issue were well written and of importance to professionals in the field or seekers of knowledge and life.

I would Highly Recommend joining in the success of this quarterly journal.
