Why & How to Compose a Cannabidiol Home Therapy Kit

by Solomon Ihahi Njoroge

Weed, pot, marijuana, and all the other names that have been given to the plant are just identifiers to what is one of the most useable plants for medicinal purposes. Cannabis contains over ten components including the famous THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

THC is the component that brings about the “high” feeling when someone inhales marijuana. Another popular compound is CBD (cannabidiol), which is used for various purposes including treating anxiety, inflammation, insomnia, and so many more conditions. In many countries, the marijuana plant is illegal. However, many countries have started regulating the usage to patients suffering from certain illnesses. Here is a way to make a CBD home remedy kit and why you should.

What Do You Need to Know?

CBD is the cannabis compound that contains therapeutic, relaxing effects when one uses marijuana. THC, on the other hand, includes the psychoactive out-of-body feeling that comes about after a smoke session.

Make It Yourself

DIY is the way to go. But before you do it yourself, you need to learn about your body and know what effects herbal medicine has on your organs and overall health. Visiting a physician or doctor will enable you to have a good understanding of what doses you should take and after how long will you need to wait to take another dose. For example, if you want to make a CBD home remedy kit for insomnia, here is how you go about it.

You’ll need;
  1. Grinder
  2. Jars with fitting lids
  3. Cheesecloth
  4. Coffee filter
  5. Glass bottles
  1. CBD-rich flowers
  2. Turmeric
  3. Pepper
  4. Ginger

You’ll need to grind the herbs together and pour the ground contents into the jar. Depending on the tincture method you are using, you’ll need to store the jar in a dry and dark place to help it mature. You can find more info about buds from your supplier. Ensure that you shake it every day for two to three days while adding a little alcohol.

If you need the remedy to mature faster, boil a pot of water up to 170 degrees Celsius. Drop the jar inside the water and let it simmer for 30 – 45 minutes. Once it’s done, let it cool for at least 1 hour.

For the glycerine method, place a cloth at the bottom of a crockpot and fill it halfway with warm water. Place the jar with the herbal contents in it and let it warm for 24 hours. Every four hours, be sure to shake the contents of the jar.

To finish up extracting your CBD oil, sieve the oil using cheesecloth. Divide the oil into small bottles of about one to two ounces.

Be sure to label and store in a cool, dry place and most importantly out of reach of children.

Conclusion: Why Use this Remedy?

It saves a lot of money going to a CBD dispensary store to purchase the finished good. It also helps the user customize their CBD oil remedy to their liking. However, if you find it better to extract your own CBD, the guideline above should be helpful.
