The story cited an alert posted by Trader Joe’s to notify the public of the recall. The alert reads:

We have been alerted by our supplier of Trader Joe’s Multigrain Crackers with Sunflower and Flax Seeds (SKU# 76156) that product with Best If Used By dates 03/01/24 – 03/05/24 may contain metal.

It adds that no injuries have been reported to date and the recalled product has been removed from the stores and destroyed. The alert asks customers who bought the product and still haven’t disposed it to either discard or return it to any Trader Joe’s store and receive a full refund.

For any questions, Trader Joe’s Customer Relations can be reached at (626) 599-3817 – Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (Pacific Time).

Reporting on the recall, Parade noted that this is the fourth foreign material contamination recall by the grocery chain in the last month.

Previously recalled products by the grocery chain include:

  • Almond Windmill Cookies and Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies, for possible presence of rocks
  • Unexpected Broccoli Cheddar Soup, for possibly containing insects – and
  • Fully Cooked Falafel, for possible presence of rocks.

In similar news, certain Mindblow brand Energy drinks were recalled in Canada over possible presence of “non-permitted ingredients” including L-Dopa, a prescription drug used in anti-Parkinson’s medications.
