UPPAA Spring Conference for 2025 in Marquette on May 17
The Upper Peninsula Publishers and Authors Association (UPPAA) is all set for holding its Spring 2025 Conference on May 17 at 9 a.m. in Marquette, Michigan. The main spring conference event this year will be preceded by a social/mixer evening on May 16 at The Crib, a cozy coffeehouse next to the Peter White Library, which is the venue for the Spring Conference.
Seasoned authors presenting topics in writing and literature at the event include Michael Carrier, Sharon Brunner, Tyler Tichelaar, Sylvia Hubbard, Rod Sadler, M. Kelly Peach, and Sue Harrison. UPPAA President Victor R. Volkman of the Modern History Press, who’ll deliver the opening remarks at the event, says about this year’s conference:
“We are excited to feature Michigan’s most prominent writer of mystery thrillers, Michael Carrier, who has published more than 15 books with prominent U.P. tie-in characters and locales. Carrier will share his until now proprietary method for book development and attendees will receive a complimentary copy of his own writing method to inspire and structure their own work for success.”
The UPPAA is also hosting a Young Writers Storytelling Workshop for children on the same day – the second consecutive year for UPPAA to hold such a workshop for young writers. The children’s event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
