Interview with Annie Harmon and Ernest Dempsey on Indie-Clips

Posted on by in videos

Last month, the independent short films website Indie-Clips featured an interview with the duo that made Stinger Scott – the short film about academic fraud in schools. Writer Ernest Dempsey (of Recovering the Self) and Annie Harmon – writer, artist, and filmmaker – were both interviewed about the film.

In discussing Stinger Scott, Annie Harmon shared the behind-the-scenes view of the film and various aspects of the production. Ernest spoke about creative freedom and the need to follow one’s muse rather than the market trend, which Annie sees as a rapidly changing reality.

Indie-Clips wrote:

Annie and Ernest also engage in a compelling conversation about screenwriting being a mix of “mass productivity”, writing as many ideas down as possible, but also “dedication”, because screenwriters/directors also need to be able to hold on to one project until its completion.

Ernest has completed two feature screenplays and a few short scripts, all under consideration at various festivals while Annie is currently writing her next book. The two are also working on ideas for their next short film together.

Watch Ernest Dempsey and Annie Harmon taking about Stinger Scott on Indie-Clips.
