Nationwide Recall Issued for SinuCleanse Nasal Wash
The manufacturers of the SinuCleanse Soft Tip Squeeze Bottle Nasal Wash System have issued a nationwide recall for one lot of their product over concerns of harmful bacterial contamination, which could even pose a threat to life in some cases.
The SinuCleanse Soft Tip Squeeze Bottle Nasal Wash is used for relief in cases of sinusitis, colds, flu and allergies. One lot of this product has been recalled due to microbial contamination with Staphylococcus aureus.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) posted the announcement of the recall online on February 25, 2025. The nasal wash recalled has the lot number 024122661A1 and expiration date 12-31-2027. The FDA alert reads:
The lot number and expiration date can be identified on the side of the carton or on the back of the Saline Packets within the carton. The affected lot was distributed in January 2025 nationwide through retail and online outlets.
People who bought this product are advised to immediately discontinue its use and either return it to the store from which it was bought or discard it.
