Pool Safety Tips.

Posted on by in Parenting

Did you know that approximately 390 children drown every year. 75% of them are under 6 and 58% Pool Safetyoccur in pools. A pool is about 100 times likely to kill a child than a gun is. It can happen when one or both of the parents are supposed to be watching the child. In almost have of the drownings, the parents thought their child was in the house. This can all be prevented with some pool safety tips. Firstly, adding a pool safety fence so that children can not get into the pool without their parents knowing.

Parents should always watch their children when they are swimming. You could put locks and alarms on doors so that children can not go swimming without you knowing about it. Also, children should be given swimming lessons and parents should be trained for CPR.

These tips can help to reduce the number of children drastically…hopefully to none one day.
