It is a practical guide to navigating the different approaches a business owner can take to funding their business and building the confidence needed to find investor support, with the techniques to make a successful pitch to an investor audience.

Michell: You seem to be a man of many talents. What is your motto in life?

Victor: To be in sync with my business goals and life as a whole, I incorporated my core values in the name of my business, which is VIKE – Value for Integrity, Knowledge, and Excellence. These values serve as my motto. It also drives me forward and positions me favorably to enable me give my best in what I do daily – investing in my clients and audiences. I am constantly on the lookout for new ways to reach out to those who need my help most, thus the wide variety of platforms and formats I employ in delivering my services, which has proven to work very well for me, with clients spread around the world.

Michell: What are some of the most important lessons in your new book for people to remember?

Victor: It takes more than just a brilliant idea to be a successful entrepreneur. Among all of the challenges facing a business owner, finding funding is one of the most overwhelming, and it’s a challenge that can significantly limit the success of an entrepreneurial dream.

In Pitch Your Business Like A Pro, entrepreneurs will learn the funding options available to them, how to access these funds, what investor audiences look for in a pitch, and what skills are required to develop a winning pitching style. A bonus chapter includes precise details on how to make a successful sales pitch to win clients/customers business.

Michell: Where have you seen the most success in your life? Why do you think that is?

Victor: My greatest passion is to be able to communicate effectively strategies and principles that inform business owners and entrepreneurs on maximize productivity and how to make success of their business dreams. I have been able to do that constantly via various platforms professionally, including business motivation speaking events, social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest), as well as from my blog and website. I would gladly say my books have equally played a significant role in helping me achieve that on daily basis. Those who have had the privilege so far to use my services and read my books have always be gracious to express how beneficial my services and books have been to them in their business journey.

Michell: What motivates you the most?

Victor: My greatest motivation comes from the many talented individuals I encounter daily in life and above all the one who created them – God. I constantly come across individuals from all walks of life that have great ideas, concepts, and vision to make things happen, but often lack the knowledge, confidence, or necessary guidance to do it. To me that serves as a call to action daily, and find ways to reach out and help them bring clarity to these ideas and create successful businesses out of them. As a person of faith, I am equally motivated by the promises of God from the Bible to accomplish my daily goals towards a successful future.

Michell: Are there any charitable causes associated to your new book?

Victor: There are no charitable causes directly associated with my book. However, as a person and a business, we give to various causes to my local Church and other charitable organizations in the community, such as giving through a recent “Hamper Challenge” program. This program was set up to provide hampers for the homeless and less fortunate families who couldn’t afford food and other basic items during the Christmas season.

My services are equally extended to non-profits who benefit from huge discounts when they engage our services.

Michell: What are some of your most favorite books to read?

Victor: Among the many books I read, I would say the Bible is my number one favorite book and a source of daily inspiration, motivation, and information. I do also read a lot of other business and biographical books. Among some of my favorite books of all time are Reposition Yourself: Living Life Without Limits by T.D. Jakes, Overcoming Crisis and In Pursuit of Purpose by Myles Munroe, The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, Rich Dad Poor Dad series by Robert T. Kiyosaki, The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley PhD, The One Minute Millionaire by Mark Victor Hansen, The 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss, Warren Buffett: Life Changing Lessons! by William Wyatt, Steve Jobs: The Exclusive Biography by Walter Isaacson, and many such good books.

Michell: Who are some of your greatest motivators? What have they taught you?

Victor: The essence of a God, who has called me for a purpose and destined me to succeed, motivates me a lot, even in the face of challenges. My clients, readers, and audience are equally a great source of daily motivation to me. As an avid reader of biographies, I am always encouraged and inspired by some of the world’s greatest innovators and achievers in all fields – sports, business, faith – who against all odds, take responsibility of what could have been excused as shortcomings and turn them around into great achievements and businesses. I equally dare say I love to read my books. I find them refreshing to read anytime. Because although I wrote them at times I wonder how I came up with those words, principles, or phrases.

Michell: If you could change anything in the business world, what would it be and why?

Victor: Instilling the sense or mindset that, we are all gifted in something. However, good knowledge and consistent effort is what makes significant achievement a reality. Knowing what to do, and how to do it, combined with strategic (good and consistent effort) has every potential to yield good success in anything one desires to pursue in business and life. We should therefore constantly seek knowledge and plan before we step out to take action.
