Best 5 Mattress Hacks to Improve the Quality of Your Sleep

by Bill Vanhook

What is the secret to a great sleep? That is a question which has plagued me for a long time, and I am sure that it has plagued a great many more people. We are all looking for a better quality of life, and I know that when I get better sleep, my quality of life is improved. The question is, how do we improve our sleep?

At Recovering the Self, they focus on improvement. It’s important to improve ourselves, and through that, we want to improve the lives of others. We want to empower people through stories, essays, articles, and more. Can we empower through sleep? At TopMattress.com, there are a wide array of mattresses. Can a simple mattress empower a life?

I got to thinking and went one step further. A mattress can improve your quality of sleep, but can improving your mattress, improve your sleep even more? Here are 5 hacks for your mattress.

Topper

You may have the best mattress in the world, or you may have the worst mattress in the world, but this hack will work for both. If you have the best mattress in the world, then hopefully you will not need it, but either way, if you are having poor sleep, you can upgrade your mattress with a simple feather topper. Adding a topper to your bed, especially a duck feather one, can really improve the comfort of your mattress.

Body Pillow

Maybe you are lonely, missing someone, or just need something to cuddle. If you are a side sleeper, a body pillow is a perfect addition to your bed. The pillow gives you something to cuddle, but it also gives you a better sleeping position. Hack your mattress with the perfect body pillow.

Gel Protector

A big factor in sleep is your temperature. I know that if I am too hot, I cannot sleep for hours, and if I am too cold, the same applies. Getting the temperature right is hard. You can grab more blankets or throw them off, but the mattress, you cannot change. If the mattress is too hot or cold, then there is not much you can do. A gel protector will add more comfort to the mattress, and it will make your mattress more breathable and cooling.

Heated Blanket

If you are constantly cold in your bed, then a heated blanket is the way to go. I got one or Christmas one year, and I loved it through the winter months. I placed it under my sheet and plugged it in. Before I got into bed, I could set it to warm up, and when I got in, it would be the perfect temperature. Hack your mattress for extra warmth.

Aromatherapy Toppers

Aromatherapy is everywhere. That is for a good reason. Aromatherapy can really help to change your mood. It can relax you and release stress. Less stress and more relaxation means better sleep. A mattress foam topper infused with aromatherapy oils will give you a great sleep at night.

Hacking Your Mattress

I am not saying that hacking your matters is going to give you the best night’s sleep ever, but I am saying that it can go a long way towards it. If you are not sleeping well, then usually it is down to your mattress. If you have invested a lot of money in your mattress, you do not want to have to replace it. Upgrading your mattress is the way to go.

There are many ways you can add hacks to your mattress; you just need to find the best hack for you.
