Hi Paul,

Basically when you submit your material to editor-at-recoveringself-dot-com please tell us whether you intend for the piece to be used in the blog or the print magazine. We never publish the same material in both, just one or the other. Generally, the length is the main criteria. 500 words or less is blog material, 750 to 2500 words is print material

<blockquote>I would like to submit some articles that I have published first on my blog. They are related to personal development. However, I do not understand something: will the articles be published on your blog/website or on your printed publication?

Hi Marge!

You're welcome to write under a pen name (pseudonymn) in fact we require it if you make specific allegations against living people that you list by name. The law says that even if what you write is true, you can still be sued for invasion of privacy if you reveal details of a private person who has a reasonable expectation (i.e. not a government official) of privacy. The pseudonymn solves that problem as long as you don't use the real names of people involved.

I would like to submit an article but I feel cautious about details which may identify me and therefore others by association. How have your authors dealt with sensitive issues of honoring their own personal experience vs. the interpersonal need to stay discreet?

Hi Danny!

We do feature one or two fiction stories per month. If it fits the theme, it's more likely to be chosen. Same applies to poetry as well.

Regards

DO THE STORIES SUBMITTED HAVE TO BE TRUE STORIES, OR YOU DO ACCEPT FICTION AS LONG AS TO PERTAINS TO THE SUBJECT YOU HAVE LISTED?
